Odd, but somehow appropriate.
Walking across the Great Hall at Union Station, I heard Christmas carols. I'm not generally a fan, but at least this was instrumental. It wasn't a cheesy radio or anything, but rather a guy with his shiny silver euphonium. Instead of the usual tinny bell, this Salvation Army guy busted out his euphonium and a book of carols. And it totally worked. It was subtle enough to be inoffensive. And something about the slightly deeper tones of the instrument worked well in the Great Hall, with all the space and marble.
