One of my favorite features of chicago.craigslist is the Free section. In addition to effectively picking through people's cybertrash and lists of futons, they have free services. And with my "open" schedule, I am able to take advantage.
I have had my hair trimmed (when it was extra long and gross on the ends), cut at a swanky salon, and styled. On 3 separate occasions. And Wintre, the stylist gave me her number to call her if I had a free Monday to come in. (I have "virgin" hair and a "do whatever" attitude that seems to work well with trainees.)
Since temping has been slow lately, I gave her a call yesterday. And she gave me a terribly cute, rather retro style. (Like this, but with my shorter, darker hair.) Parting it on the side I never parted it on. And I loved it. Now she has asked me if I am interested in waiting a few weeks for her to start cutting hair. She has notions about a bob with bangs. I love it! I feel so slick having a "stylist."
