And now for the interview portion of our competition...

As part of the seemingly endless recruitment/application process, I had a phone interview with Indiana University.

I parked next to the phone, equipped with my list of questions, why I want to go to IU, the material they gave me, my portfolio, and my computer.
They called me at the appointed time. Part of the highly technical process - they put me on speaker phone. Each faculty member got to ask me one question. Most of these were questions I was familiar with (Why do you want to go to grad school? Why Indiana? Ideal season. Blah blah blah.) Not prepared for "favorite International director." Um, not super up on my international directors. So I said Baz Luhrmann.

I felt like I was in a beauty pageant trying to come up with a better answer than World Peace. (Thanks Miss Congeniality!) I should have been standing in 3rd position in 4 inch stilettos with big hair and a strapless gown, not in leisures, fuzzy penguin socks and unbrushed mane.

Still no offers. I keep trying to remind myself that it is early. Maybe this is why I found 2 gray hairs this morning.
