Chinese New Year

新年快樂

To celebrate the beginning of the Year of the Pig, my cousins and I went out and stuffed ourselves on yummy Chinese food.

I met them down in Chinatown to go to their favorite place, Lee Wing Wah. S. stepped up and took charge of the ordering. She is Auntie-in-Training. But her selections were great. Especially the salty-spicy squid. I could totally polish off an entire order of that myself. Squid dipped in light batter that is salty on the outside and has a nice afterburn. Yum. Black bean clams, 3 Treasure Chow Mein, Roast Duck and Won Ton soup. N. was trying to figure out what was most "lucky." Then again, these are the same people getting married on 7/7/07.

Did a little prowling around town looking for stuff for a field trip. Now I want another Chinese dress. Then again, I also want to locate a Chinese bakery to get my bao on. Methinks this might be a bad combination (potbelly in Chinese brocade)
