My poor plant
After 4 months together, I think Norman and I are parting ways. Unfortunately, I think Norman has succumbed to that post-holiday depression. That one week over Christmas/New Years was just too much for one little guy, all alone, with no little plant friends with Chinese food and the Grinch DVD to amuse him. Now he is all wilted and yellow. Besides watering him, I have tried moving him around, added a touch of caffeine (apparently it perks plants too), and talked to it, in the psycho-therapy approach to treatment.
I know it's a little early, but I am thinking about my next plant. I know it'll just be a rebound plant, but I need that little green guy to sit on my windowsill against the red wall. Then again, I have also put myself on the list to foster cats. Which might not be as conducive to plants.
R. recommended a bonsai, which are alot harder to kill, because they are woody. Cacti are also indestructible, but they are so aloof and prickly. Then again, because I keep moving, I don't know if I'm ready for a long-term relationship.
