Bad minion

It sounded pretty cool that I would get a minion of my own, to work on How I Learned to Drive. I was so wrong.

The girl is a junior, who should be old enough to understand deadlines, meetings and such. If we schedule a meeting, you have to show up. Prepared. With your information in hand. I saw her idea of sourcebook, which is littered with unanswered questions and comments that are outside the purview of dramaturge. Music choices are made by the sound designer. Some of these things are actor decisions. I feel like I have to cross out half of her stuff because it isn't dramaturgical. It's really frustrating that only now, the weekend before the first rehearsal, that it becomes so clear that she just can't cut it, so I will have to do this one on the fly. And the fact that she is annoying as hell really doesn't help.

Usually I really like working one on one with people, but this girl is a real challenge, since she lacks talent AND focus. She has had 8 weeks to work on this, now is not the time for screwing around.
