Ear-flap hat

After coveting one for months, I finally broke down and bought one. Met up with Woolly Willy to get a second opinion on my chapeau shopping at the Gallery. Really, he was more entertaining than the hats themselves, because a) he tried on everything and b) he has a large head. I briefly toyed with one of the giant fur hats, but I just couldn't go hipster. (Seriously, it was a look in Wicker Park, along with skinny jeans, cloves and a general air of disaffectation.) Ended up with a knit hat with a fleece lining and a dangly tassel, which I suspect will cause me many problems.

Today, I pretty much spent all day in it. I don't know what it is about the hat. It certainly doesn't make me look very adult or professional (neither do the glittens). Maybe it just conveys my general fashion apathy or irony. Or the fact that it both keeps my ears warm and hides the Snape hair. I had pretty much committed to wearing it to yoga, but I was prevented by a phone call to pick up sourcebooks from the Ridges for Drive's first rehearsal.

I did take it off for rehearsal, mostly because the Socks room was pretty toasty. And because it gave me a better view of the expressions on actors faces as I passed out a spiral-bound books of about 100 pages of research. Ah.

Will post a picture as soon as I get someone to snap it.
