Over the past week or so, I have been spoiled by an excellent quality muffin supply. While in Charlottesville, Mom #2 made fresh bran muffins one morning, blueberry another. And the leftovers not well-hidden in a ziplock for later snacking. Toasted with butter, with a cup of coffee and a curious puppy = good morning.
On my drive back to Chicago, I enjoyed a choco-choco chip muffin courtesy of my mom's trip to Costco, and my brother's sacrifice. Went well with raspberries, especially in the pre-dawn hours. Made them alot less ugly.
Much to my delight, I discovered that muffins were on sale at Dominick's. I had originally gone in for sushi, which seemed like a refreshingly light option after 2 weeks of good home-cooking. Along with my full-moon combo, I enjoyed a cran-orange muffin with milk.
And today, on my grocery trip (I felt very productive and fairly healthy), I splurged on the pumpkin muffins, which are covered in nuts and streudly-bits. In general, if a day involves a muffin, it is good. Unless it is the nefarious cosmic muffin.
