Office environment

Because of the nature of the services my temp gig provides (job placement and training), I work in a very supportive environment. Very positive, complimentary. I recommend everyone work in a place like this at least once.

Also, this gig has made me learn about some of the more sophisticated functions of MS Office. I always knew it was capable of making my life easier. And once I thoroughly conquered it, it was pretty cool. I love merges! Especially when the other option is filling out 92 forms by hand. The only thing better is the look of sheer amazement on my boss's face.

And despite the different environment, I have learned that some office personalities are universal. I have the person who I kid around with, the person who loves bureaucracy, the person who knows this is just a job.

And temp work helps me maintain my flexibility and chameleon. But I bet in a few months, I will be really happy not to be keeping normal business hours.
